Hi
Welcome to Apple Discussions Site works for me on a PPC machine. Take a look at your Java settings. Do so by going to the Finder: Utilities folder>Java>J2SE 5.0, double click Java Preferences.app. My panel looks like this: Make sure your panel shows Java J2SE 5.0 at the top of the list (you can drag it there). Select the 'settings' button>Applets. When you select 'applets', another list will appear. Click on the URL heading, then scroll through the list until you see 'live.timing.forumula1'. Highlight the various related URL items, then delete. Close the various Java panels. Then restart the computer. Go to Safari and try F1 - live timing again. Hi and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Is there anyway of uninstalling J2SE 5.0 release 4 and reverting back to version 3 ?.It's quite easy to try your Java apps with Java 1.4.2. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/ Java Preferences.app. Launch that and change the preference to 1.4.2 there. Also use the delete 'temporary internet files'. I also can't do a repair on the OSX because I have 10.4.0 on CD and not 10.4.5. Is a complete re-install the only way forward ?Yes you can, that version of Disk Utility is compatible with all Tiger systems. -mj [email protected] J2se 5.0 Download
